Why buy from BTL?

Whether you’re just picking up some papers or investing in a vaporiser, you can rest assured that we have personally put in all the coughs, sweat and tears to ensure sure that your purchase delivers as promised.

How do I buy from the online store?

It’s nice and easy lemon hazy. See something you like, add it to your Cart and when done choosing all your nice new smokeware you proceed to the Checkout. You will be able to pay by either:

– Credit card (including Mastercard and VISA branded debit cards) via our secure payment facility. The name of the transaction will not reflect as “Below the Lion”, “BTL” or anything of this nature, so no awkward statement questions; or

– EFT/deposit, which will automatically E-mail you our banking details and the reference for your order which you can then EFT or do an ATM/bank deposit for. Please make payment within a week.

We do not offer Cash on Delivery.

How does free delivery work?

Spend R710 or more and your discreetly packaged order will be delivered to your door by our professional courier company anywhere in South Africa for mahala! This will automatically reflect under the shipping options when placing your order online and will be for Regular Delivery (3-4 working days), but we do our utmost to get all orders to you by the next working day because happiness shouldn’t take longer than absolutely necessary to arrive.

Will my order be discreetly delivered?

Don’t worry… there will not be Cheech & Chong look alikes in a smoking Beetle delivering your order. All orders are discreetly packaged and delivered by a professional courier company to the delivery address. The package won’t have any mention or reference to us or the contents as your privacy is guaranteed.

Your order will be delivered during office hours on a weekday anywhere in South Africa and marked for the attention of the person on the delivery address. Please note that any special requests can be captured when checking out and we will do our best to accommodate.

How long until I get my order?

Regular delivery (R75) arrives at your door within 4 working days from when we receive your payment.
Speed Delivery (R150) arrives at your door within 2 working days from when we receive your payment.
Either may take a day or two longer if you live in the sticks.

International Shipping (R1,250) is sent by international courier and should arrive at your door within 1 week. All international orders include a tracking number and insurance. Any applicable customs duties for your country will need to be paid by you and our courier will assist you with the formalities.

Can you send my order to my PO Box?

Due to the South African postal service’s constant strikes, long queues, being offline, over pricing, lack of accountability, frequent breakages/losses and generally being insane in the membrane, we cannot in good conscience send any order by the South African Post Office to your PO Box.

Can I visit the store?

There is no physical walk in store, it is all purely online with highly irregular hours. No driving, parking or queuing required by you though. Just go online wherever you are, buy some shweet smokeware and we’ll take care of the rest.

How do I get hold of you?

The reception in our area is notoriously poor, so please leave a detailed message if you can’t get through and we will call you back as soon as possible. Please also feel free to drop us an SMS or WhatsApp. Sorry we don’t do “Please call me’s”.

What are your office hours?

Our hours are highly irregular, as the quest for the best smokeware in the world takes us far and wide at any hour on any day.

Between 9AM and 4:20PM on weekdays is when you’re most likely to get a hold of us, but we strive to assist you as soon as possible day or night.

What if I am not satisfied with my purchase?

Every care is taken to ensure that your order arrives on time and intact. Should the courier hit a bump along the way and your order arrives broken, we will replace it at minimum inconvenience to you.
Should you however place an order without checking for any compatibility issues or that the item will perform to you expectations, we will not be able to refund or replace the used items. If you are uncertain about any aspect of your purchase, please contact us first as we will gladly assist you in order to ensure that your aren’t disappointed in any way.

Are your products original?

Everything in our store is 100% original. Nothing Fong Kong here.

What about warranties?

Not only do we honour all of our manufacturer warranties, we also handle all warranty claims locally at minimum inconvenience to you. This means that in the unlikely event of your purchase being faulty, you will not need to return an item to the manufacturer overseas and be confronted with a fat courier bill as we handle your warranty claims personally.

What if my glass is broken on arrival?

Trust us. We know how disappointing it is to purchase some amazeballs new glass, only to hear the the broken pieces jingling before you’ve even opened the packaging. This is why we take every care to ensure that your fragile purchase is generously bubble wrapped and packed in one of our custom made double thick boxes.

In the unlikely event that the delivery hits an excessive bump on its way to you, just notify us straight away about the break and we’ll replace it at no additional cost to you. With great glass come great responsibility though. We therefore reasonably can’t offer any warranty beyond delivering your super duper new glass into your hands.

Where can I score some grass?

The laws in South Africa regarding cannabis are what they are until legalisation occurs. For the safety of both buyers and sellers we do not facilitate or make recommendations on how or where to score. We trust that you understand.
